You may notice that some platforms display slightly different information than one another about your podcast.

For example, you may see your episode subtitle on one platform, but on another, you might see the episode notes and but not the subtitle.

When you look at your show on a podcast platform and find things don't appear quite as expected, the first thing to do is to check ZenCast and make sure all the information is uploaded and saved under the show or episode settings.

So long as everything is saved correctly on ZenCast then the information is in your show's RSS feed... but... it's up to each distribution platform what they do with that information and how they display it to their users.

In most cases, the listening platforms don't give you any extensive options about how to display your podcast's information. So to get things displaying as you'd like, the solution can mean being creative and moving information around in ZenCast until you're happy with how things are displayed on external sites.

For example, you may find that a platform displays the episode notes where you were expecting to see the episode subtitle. In this case, it might be wise to include the subtitle at the top of the notes section (as well as keeping it in the subtitle section) so that it's displayed to your listeners where you want them to see it. Keep in mind that when you update show or episode information it can take some time for the platforms to update things on their end.

If you've tried to work around the issue but are still having problems or you think there might be some information missing from your RSS feed, feel free to get in touch with us in the chat bubble and we'll be happy to take a look.
