So you’ve already published an episode of your show and you discover something is wrong or needs updating on the audio… is it stuck forever or can it be changed?
The good news is that changing the audio for an existing episode on ZenCast is not only possible, but it’s also pretty simple.
Head to the Episodes tab in your show dashboard and click on the episode name or the edit button to open it up.
On the next screen scroll down to the Audio section and click the “Replace file” button.
Then browse your file system and select the new audio file.
If you happen to upload a file with an identical name to the original one, ZenCast will automatically iterate the name so it’s slightly different.
This ensures that the platforms you distribute to will recognize the file change.
You don’t have to re-submit your episode, Spotify, Google, Apple etc will automatically recognize the newly uploaded audio file, just keep in mind it can take them several hours or days to reflect the changes on their platforms.
We recommend the following file attributes for the best compatibility and listening experience:
- MP3
- Mono
- CBR (Constant Bitrate)
- Encoded at 96 kbps, 44.1 kHz and 16 bit
